According to this article (and plenty of others), Serena’s nemesis Georgina Sparks will be back for several episodes.

The return of Michelle Trachtenberg definitely means that there is some drama in the works for upcoming episodes of the hit CW show, and reveals that Gossip Girl may have some big twists and turns coming to the plot in later episodes this season. According to Entertainment Weekly, Trachtenberg will return to episodes later in the Spring part of this season, and probably will have some key part in the episodes leading up to the season finale.

Get ready for some more “OMG” moments on the show, as things are already starting to heat up according to the upcoming previews for the winter episodes and the second half of this season. It is sure to spark even more interest in the show, as Michelle Trachtenberg left at the end of her last story arc with a bunch of fireworks, and fans last saw her character of Georgina Sparks being carted off to the Kimberly Shaw Correctional Institute. The return of the character means something is going to bring about some new story arcs, or re-visit some of the drama that peaked interest in last season’s shows.

Well if you’re like me and you found Aaron Rose to be a smarmy, annoying character with no appeal whatsoever, you’ll be glad to know that he is NOT coming back after the Argentina trip he took with Serena for Christmas. That’s the last of Aaron! Apparently nobody really liked him, which is why he’s been cut. I don’t necessarily need to see Dan and Serena get together now that Aaron is out, I mean another guy would be OK as long as he’s a good character. I mean Aaron Rose…eeew!
